A Little About Why I Started
I’ve always wanted clothes that feel modest without feeling boring. I’d find something I really liked — the color, the cut, the fabric, the little details — and then I’d try it on and think, “Okay… but how am I actually going to wear this?” Sometimes it was too revealing, sometimes it needed too many layers, and sometimes it was modest enough but just didn’t feel like me. And honestly, I got tired of feeling like I had to choose between looking good, feeling comfortable, and dressing modestly.
So I stopped looking and started making. I chose the fabric myself, with opacity as the first requirement instead of an afterthought, then drafted the patterns, cut the cloth and sewed every piece at my own machine. Nothing was finished until it was properly covered and actually beautiful — not one at the cost of the other.
The measurements on every page are ones I took off the garment with a tape, not borrowed from a standard chart. And I dress the way you do, so I wasn't guessing.
